One of the best realizations I had when I was younger was that you don’t have to go through this crazy thing called life alone. It really is up to you if you chose to handle your problems alone or if you ask for help. Help, advice and guidance can come in many, many forms. On the physical level there are the options friends, family, loved ones, teachers; even animals can give assistance. Many people ask for guidance through prayer. But who to pray to? Deceased loved ones and ancestors? Gods? Angels? The flying spaghetti monster? The bottom line is, who are you drawn to? Who keeps popping up in your thoughts or across your daily life?
Many people don’t believe in higher beings and ghosts and whathaveyou, and that’s totally fine. I have a suggestion on how to ask yourself for help and be active in receiving it in the Archetypes section, should that appeal to you.
But for those of you who would like to explore the idea of talking to higher beings, I’ve made some info sheets on popular Celtic, Nordic and Angelic beings for you to check out and see if there is a name in particular that jumps out to you. Eventually I hope to add to this list.
It is my belief that we are never truly alone and that there is always help, assistance and guidance available. You should never feel so alone that you forget this. But it is up to you to ask for guidance. I assure you, that once you realize that and just ask and open yourself to receiving, you’ll marvel at the way life will flow and the world will seem just a little bit, oh, I don’t know, more hopeful and full of magic? 😉
